CreateSpace and Kindle

Which is the best way to proceed, publishing first on Kindle and then on CreateSpace, or the other way around? My understanding is that CreateSpace has a program that adapts an on demand formatted book to the Kindle specifications; I believe it costs somewhere around $70.00 and I could use some info unavailable on the CreateSpace site.

You must have a print-ready book in their system in order for CreateSpace to convert your book to the Kindle format, so I would do the paperback first. For $69.00 CreateSpace converts your interior file to the Kindle format and provides a jpeg of your cover. You still have to use Amazon's dtp to upload the Kindle version of your book.
